Bradley had red labels "Bradley Exclusives Japan" and Bradley Exclusives California."  The set on the left was distributed by both Bradley and Pandora.  I show the Pandora label to the right of the red Bradley label above.  Although there isn't anything that I can find on this manufacturer's history, their legacy lives on with their beautiful mermaids in our homes! 

The mermaids to the left sold individually and came in pink, blue, green and yellow.  This set was the inspiration for a mold manufacturer - the mold manufacturer made a mold for people to make the babies in ceramic shops.  To the right I show the Bradley/Pandora mermaid with mermaids I made from that mold available in ceramic shops.  You can see they are similar but the Bradley/Pandora ones have different hairstyles and are a little larger.

Here is a pretty 3 fish set made by Bradley Exclusives.  You most often see these in pink and blue, but recently I found one in yellow.  Sometimes the larger one has her eyes closed, other times they are open.  I also found this one as a picture frame or guess it could be used as a soap dish although the way the bottom fins stick out it doesn't look too good laying flat on a counter.  The lovely thing about these sets is that you can hang them on the wall or you can sit them on the counter.  They look so cute on the counter with the little fishies following behind the bigger fish. 

This is one of the cutest sets Bradley Exclusives made.  They made them as 3 wall plaques with one winking, one sleeping, and one eyes wide open.  They also made the 3 sisters as figurines.  Two of them were used to make salt & pepper shakers. The wall plaque set only came with green tailfins.  The figurines came with green or blue tailfins.  The blue tailfin is rare because Bradley didn't make many of them.  Any other color tailfin color on these has been repainted aftermarket. They are a ceramic bisque so have a matte finish rather than gloss.  Since these were madein different batches you will see some with darker skin, some lighter.  Some darker colored tailfins, some lighter.  Some with gold highlighting, some with no highlighting.  That's why it's important to get these as a matched set.  The mermaids are about 4-5".  I had a moon in my bedroom that was just begging to have some playmates so my wall plaques ended up on a moon! This is a wonderful mermaid made by Bradley.  The left shows the original and to the right are examples of my reproductions.  The original was made with a blue or pink tailfin and the colors/quality varied greatly from from batch to batch.  The originals on the left you can see the difference in the hair color and the one with the pink tail has a lighter skintone.  I've even see this mermaid with almost white hair.    The mermaids are about 7" tall and thick pieces.  My reproductions I often put large flowers and rhinestone earrings on this pair - they are such a sweet set.   

These are two really rare pieces made by Bradley.  They stand 7" tall. Both have a little dish at the end of the tail that serves as a ring holder (or tiny soap). The one to the right also has a basket on her head that you could place small things in.   They are flat on the back/bottom so can hang on the wall or sit on the counter.  The one on the right also has a basket on her head to put trinkets or small soaps. 

Bradley made a number of fish Wall Pockets.  They all came in pairs that were facing each other. 

The colors seem to vary a lot.  I have seen this pink one in all sorts of colors! 

Here is another 3 piece mermaid set made by Bradley.  These are smaller pieces and are only 4" tall.  Typical of Bradley, one is sleeping, one is winking, and one is wide awake with both eyes open.  Lefton also distributed a set similar to this one but their tailfins are more blue/green than the bradley ones and they are larger.  See my Lefton section to see their set.  You often see the Bradley set advertised as Lefton, and the Lefton set advertised as Bradley!

Bradley made a 3 piece mermaid wall pocket set too.  One holds a mirror, one a harp and one an arrow.  They aren't that big but they sure are cute!  This set was made in the US and in Japan.  The quality varies tremendously on the sets made in the US and the ones made in Japan.  The ones made in Japan have solid black eyes and the paint job on the tail is awful.  The pictures of the red and green one on the top were made in the US.  The ones on the bottom were made in Japan - notice the difference in quality of the hair, eyes and tailfins.  . 

These are examples of the 3 piece shelf sitter set made by Bradley.  Each mermaid is playing an instrument.  These were done in a variety of colors.  The top picture is compliments of Linda.  There have been some new ceramic molds made of these three girls and people are selling them as "vintage" but you can easily tell the difference because the vintage ones are flat on the back with 2 holes.  The new ones are figurines and don't have flat backs or holes on the back.  These were sold as singles in a box.

The picture to the left shows a really nice seahorse set made by Bradley that's about 5 tall.  They are a very nice size as alot of the seahorse sets are larger at 7".  I've see them in blue and pink - they have gold highlighting on the fins.

This is a cute 3 sister mermaid set of figurines.  two are sitting and one is laying down.  They either had plain green/gold tailfins, or had little beads applied to their tailfins. Some even had glitter.  Their bras were multicolored and made to look beaded - some sets weren't as colorful and the beading color on the bra can hardly be seen.  These are a delightful set  to sit around anywhere.  There was a ceramic mold made of these sisters and you will occasionally see them painted by individuals.   The one with her finger pointing up came with her tailfin to the right, and with her tailfin coming down to hang over a ledge..  These were only created with a green tailfin.  The ones with glitter like the top/left are pretty rare to find.. A lot of times you will see where people have attached these to starfish, shells, trinket boxes, etc over the year.  I have even seen where people have spray painted the originals one color to sit on something in their house so the tailfin matches what they set it on.... and people have added little hats to them sometimes too!  They are small and cute..... so much fun to put anywhere! 

These are sets of fish sold by Bradley - a mom and 2 babies.  They all had stripes but came in a number of different colors.  Don't just assume because something is in the box that it is in mint condition.  I have had many sets in boxes broken or had paint wear just from being banged around in the box all these years.  The set shown in the box here had the paint on the face of the large fish worn just because of something being put on the top of the box and the cellophane rubbing abainst the finish on the fish.
